Pitch perfect harmonies

Channeling Granny & the Doubting Thomas Quartet

Four women are performing music in a room with large windows and golden drapes. One woman is playing a guitar, and another is singing into a microphone. The room has vintage decor, including a painting on the wall, and audio equipment with cords and speakers.

Lead by Gina Stewart, a Huntersville native and farm descendent, the Americana band Channeling Granny performed at HEARTS Harvest ‘23. The band is an acoustic offshoot of the legendary Charlotte band Doubting Thomas, formed in the late '80s by Stewart and Brenda Gambill, whose soaring vocal harmonies are a resonating feature of the group's sound.

Stewart and Gambill most recently performed at Cedar Grove with the Doubting Thomas Quartet at HEARTS Winter Wisdom ‘24.
