A is for the Arts.
You can’t have HEARTS without the Arts
HEARTS celebrates local art past and present by keeping traditional arts alive and bringing new art into our historic spaces.
Throughout history, the arts have opened windows into time. Through an artist’s eyes, hands, voice, words, and movement, cultural and ecological narratives can be explored in unique and creative ways. And by honoring the vanishing artisan skills of our region’s past, we gain a deeper understanding of the lives of those who came before us.
Additionally, every HEARTS Happening events incorporates the arts into our place-based programming, making “history in the moment” through both visual and performing arts from the past and the present.
The HEARTS Arts Collection is an assemblage of the talented visual and performance artists at all our past HEARTS happenings.
