Hosted by the Mecklenburg Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, this is the annual Commemoration of the Battle of Cowans Ford, that took place on February 1st, 1781on the banks of the Catawba River between Lincoln and Mecklenburg Counties. This year’s keynote speaker is the Honorable Mr John Adams, of Massachusetts. Indoor program followed by an outdoor Laying of Wreaths and Rendering of Honors at the graveside of General William Lee Davidson, who was killed during the battle.
