HISTORY
Travel Through Time Like Never Before
HEARTS connects the history of the Catawba Valley region from prehistory to the present. From the first known settlers in 10,000 BC through the modern 21st century, our region is home to a vast number of historically significant places, people, and pieces.
HEARTS believes nothing compares to immersing yourself in the past to see new perspectives. A closer look at any historical place, person, or piece nearly always reveals an interesting connection to another significant place, person, or piece. By highlighting the fascinating interconnectedness of history, HEARTS weaves the individual threads of history together into a tapestry sharing our local history, nature, and the arts through HEARTS Happenings.
Presenting the HEARTS History Collection, an assemblage of historically connected places, people, and pieces throughout North Carolina’s Piedmont region. Our collection is growing daily, and we’re continually updating content too. If you have history to share, please email info@heartscollaborative.org.
