Torrence-Lytle School
The Torrence-Lytle School is an abandoned historic African-American high school owned by Mecklenburg County and ripe for possibilities. Unfortunately, a plan has not been determined for this important landmark at this time.
The history of this school is one of community, achievement, and pride for Pottstown, a historic African-American community in Huntersville, NC.
What could this historic space offer in the future? Senior housing? Studio apartments? Creative and coworker spaces? Education? Healthcare? As a commercial historic project, tax credits are available for rehabilitative and restorative reuse. Imaginative investors and developers are needed!
