A Legacy in Bloom: 2026 Friends of the Historic Sharpe House

For 160 years, the Historic Sharpe House has stood as the "Crown Jewel of Statesville," a landmark of resilience and architectural grace in our downtown. Built in 1866, just as the Civil War drew to a close, this home remains one of the NC Piedmont’s most significant examples of Reconstruction-era architecture. At a time when our community was rebuilding and redefining itself, the Sharpe House reflected a vision of ambition and craftsmanship that helped shape the Statesville, North Carolina we love today.

Be the Heartbeat of Preservation

A landmark this precious requires more than just admiration; it requires a community of guardians. The beautiful historic homeplace depends on the Friends of the Historic Sharpe House to fund the never-ending list of essential maintenance, plus fuel for our vision for future enhancements. From restoring delicate plasterwork to maintaining our historic gardens, your support helps ensure the Sharpe House will be here in the future.
